  • Basically I am stuck between Savic's Hamster Heaven, Hagen's Living World Rodent Home Exercise Dome and the Fun Area Leon Rodent Home (Pics at bottom).

Sportime TurtL Exercise Dome features a patented design, which combines a rotationally molded shell and a rigid base into a single and unified dome. Durable TurtL offering a variety of exercises is designed to withstand institutional use and can easily adjust the challenge by varying the inflation level with a standard pump and needle valve.

  • The standard size for a balance dome is around 17 inches (45 centimeters) to 21 inches (55 centimeters). The ball part of the dome can be inflated or deflated which makes it easy to transport. Pumping up an exercise dome requires a foot pump although this is usually included in the package.

Many exercise domes also include tubing that can be attached to the base. This is commonly used for stability exercises — especially if the person is yet to master all the exercises or has . Tubing and handles are also useful for people using the exercise dome for injury . If elasticized tubing is provided with the dome then this can also be used to provide resistance in certain exercises.

How To Perform Exercise Targeted Muscle Group
The push up on an exercise dome exercise helps strengthen abdominal and back muscles and uses a half exercise dome to help perform the exercise.

    Steps :

1.) Start off by placing an exercise dome flat side down on the floor and then kneeling behind the dome with your arms fully extended and body straight.

2.) While keeping your abs drawn in and body straight, lower your chest down towards the dome until you feel a stretch in your chest muscles.

3.) Hold the position for a count and then slowly return back up to the starting position.

Exercise domes are sometimes used for rehabilitation of ankle and other lower leg injuries. When an injury is sustained this can often weaken muscles that provide stability. Stability training equipment such as the balance dome is used to mimic an unstable situation which helps to build up the muscles to the desired level. Sometimes these types of exercises are referred to as proprioception exercises. Proprioception is the body’s ability to sense where it is relative to other objects and is vital for stability and balance.
