  • I have become a huge fan of exercising over the last year, I have noticed many benefits from exercising. Apart from a 4 stone weight loss and my confidences is soaring, most importantly my moods swings have vanished and I found I have lots of energy.

One of my problem areas was my stomach, after having two children my stomach was no longer flat and tight and I never thought it would every be what it once was but I bought the everlast duo exercise wheel. I bought it from a carboot sale for £1.00 but it can be bought on amazon and from argos for about £7.00.

One of the reasons I bought the everlast duo wheel was because its small and easy to store as I have no room for bulky fitness equipment. The wheel is basically shaped like a car wheel that has two handles. The handles have grooved grips on them which make it comfortable to hold and the handles feel solid which allows you to have good control over the wheel. The wheel has grips on it as well which allows you better control and its thick enough for it to be sturdy.

It takes a bit of practice to use the wheel but practice makes perfect in my opinion, It can be used in many different positions but I find the simple position works best for me, it comes with a instruction chart on how to use. I kneel on my knees and hold the handles and roll the wheel forward and back. Once I mastered the basics I can now do the more advanced moves.

I could feel it working after about 5 reps, it works on strengthening my core muscles and toned my stomach. I use it in the morning and before bed for about 10 mins each time, I would suggest starting with a few reps and building your way up to avoid any muscle strain. I have used this for about a year now and my stomach is noticeably flat and toned, I find using the everlast duo wheel much better and comfortable than doing sit ups and it gives the same results but without getting a sore back.

It has to be used on a flat surface, I avoid using it on my laminate flooring as it slides away from me and I do it on my carpet as it works better and find it adds a little resistance meaning I have to work harder. My wheel I bought was black all over but I have seen them in different colours.

  • The Everlast duo exercise wheel is a great piece of workout equipment especially for those for whom space is at a premium. I have only recently begun using it but I am finding it much more effective in working out my core area than nearly anything else that I have tried so it would be a great thing to buy if you are looking for something relatively small and unobtrusive for working out your abs.

The exercise wheel is a piece of sport equipment that is highly effective in helping to tighten the stomach muscles and generally improve your core stability. It is basically a wheel with handles on either side that you hold on to and gently roll yourself out which makes you use your stomach muscles.

It might sound easy but believe me it isn't. To do it correctly really does make full use of the muscles in your stomach and within a couple of rolls I can already feel the burn. I find that using this for a couple of minutes hurts more than doing 100 situps would.

The reason I bought this is because I had heard loads of good things about exercise wheels and this particular one was only £7.99 from Amazon. I was a little dubious as to its quality for that price but as I have bought some Everlast products before with no problems I decided to buy this instead of a more expensive one and I am glad I did.

It has a dual wheel which is basically just two wheels stuck together with the handles either side. I think that this makes it a little more steady and less prone to tiping than if it was just a single wheel. The quality is perfectly reasonable and I really like the handles which are moulded and easy to grip on to without my hands slipping off.

The only warning that I can give when it comes to purchasing one of these exercise wheels is not to expect miracles. Yes you will feel your stomach muscles getting stronger almost straight away but no matter how much you use this it is never going to give you that six pack on its own and for that you are going to have to combine doing this with cardio and a proper diet.

For the money I really do think that the Everlast exercise wheel is fantastic value and something which has quickly become part of my regular workout routine.

  • Duo Exercise Wheel

    PRICE: £5

This piece of exercise equipment is ideally suited for the home as it is small and easy to store without taking up too much room. I have seemed to store away all of my exercise gear with relative ease but find it is more of a case of un-storing it to use! One day I will have a house big enough to have my own gym!

Anyway back to this Everlast Duo Exercise Wheel and I have to admit to only buying it slightly for nostalgia reasons really as it is rather similar to one that my mum had when I was little which used to fascinate me and I would play with a fair bit.

Bought for £7.99 from Argos, it is the same price on Amazon too. This is an interesting piece of kit to use, you basically hold the handles either side of the wheel on the floor in front of you and roll forwards using the momentum of the wheel to work the muscles in your stomach, back, arms and shoulders.

It is a simple premise and it does work if you do it slowly and with a lot of discipline, if like me you roll forward at speed you are liable to pull a muscle in your upper arm or shoulder as happened to me the first time I used it. After rethinking my strategy and slowing things down, the slow roll movement has worked my stomach, my arms and my back, it is like performing the plank exercise but with the wheel it puts more emphasis on the core muscles and less on the lower arms.

It is a good piece of kit, easy to store in a cupboard or large drawer, it is easy to put together, with simple instructions and although it looks like a spare wheel on a wheelbarrow it isn't wholly offensive to the eyes. The wheel feels lightweight when you carry it, but i'm reasonably well built and it carried my body weight with ease.

This is a decent bit of kit, its cheap, it is easy to put together and store, using it is easy enough, once you appreciate the need for controlled movements and it is widely available. A piece of equipment i'd recommend to those wanting to work on their core muscles.

Everlast Standard Duo Exercise Wheel - BEST EXERCISE BIKE SHOP

Now winter is officially over spring is in the air , its time for me to get back into shape before summer comes. I always over eat at christmas then left for months feeling drained, fat and tired. I always have been a fitness freak and used to go to my gym everyday but after having the twins i just never had time now my life is busier than ever with work, kids, uni as well as the everyday chores, so it is much better for me to exercise at night in my own time. I really like everlast exercise products and already have a small collection of their products.
The reason i bought the everlast duo exercise wheel is that my tummy is the hardest part of my body to tone and had read the great reviews of the wheel on dooyoo.

I bought the everlast duo exercise wheel from amazon last month (march 2011) for only £5.99 free postage.
The wheel comes in a small, neat everlast box in bits with an instruction sheet.
I found the wheel easy to build and did not read the instructions for this as basically two plastic wheels with lime green trim and grip grooves on the wheels making them good for carpets and hard surfaces too, two black handles with one metal pole that goes through the middle of the wheels then handles slip on to the pole very simple in design.

On the instruction sheet it shows picture diagrams on how to use the wheel. I have been using the wheel for three weeks now and already feel and see a big difference.
I use the wheel in my living room, i go down on all fours and face the wall with the wheel in front of me, when holding onto the handles at either side of the wheel push/roll the wheel forward and then back to you. I use the wheel about 30 inches away from the wall and using the wall as a block for the wheel to stop , i find this the easiest way to use the wheel so i don't end up face down on the floor. Each person can decide who far away they need to roll the wheel as everyone's limits are different.

Upon receiving the wheel the very first day i got a bit carried away by doing 40 reps bad choice, whilst doing them i could feel my ab mussels really hurting but kept going. The day after i couldn't even get out of bed i was in agony, took four days to recover but when reading the instructions they do recommend only 10 reps a day for 1 week then build it up.

Now i really feel the wheel is easy to use, the handles are plastic with little wedges for fingers to fit between. As the wheel only gets used for 10 mins a day i find the handles no problem at all but not the comfiest perhaps some foam or rubber handles would of made them easier and comfier however for £5.99 its a minor complaint cause the wheel really is a fantastic piece of equipment to have.

As i said i can see and feel the benefits of the wheel, my tummy looks much more toned and can feel my jeans are a lot more loose.
I will continue to use the wheel and i highly recommend the everlast duo exercise wheel
