Hi, I'm Chris Conrad, I'm a fitness host, I'm here at Carter Fitness in West Hills, California. This next clip, I'm going to show you how to do pec deck exercises using dumbbells. So, for this, you need something to sit on and you need your dumbbells. I have tens here, it's not going to take a lot, because this is not a set range of motion here, this is kind of free standing. So, we're going to have to fight against the outside elements here. So, position yourself, seated, dumbbells in hand, chest out, and begin. And the range of motion that we're looking for, is out to in. And try to keep them as best as you can, on a track, you're not on one. But the idea here is, it's going to require more control and more stability than allowing these to get sloppy and all over the place. It's a good move for the chest, good move for the back as well. And we're simulating the pec deck movement here, using our dumbbells. And you can do this for time, you can do this for repetitions. And when you come back off these, you can go really go far back. You should feel these in your traps, which are your upper back muscles, contracting and coming together. And that's an example of an exercise you can do with dumbbells, simulating a pec deck.
